The duty on a holiday

Today I worked on a holiday.
I have to be on a duty once a few months.
We keep carps for our work in our company.
The duty are feeding and observing them.
Young carps are pretty.
They close to me when I'm about to feed them.
But adult carps go wild when I close to their tank.
I'm scared to adult one.
